He hasn’t come home for a long time and the wagging tongues in town say he’s embarrassed about his mother being a simple country peasant. Teresa is sure he’ll come. Safy Nebbou
Trained at École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in Paris, Safy Nebbou began working in television as a production assistant and later as co-ordinator and artistic producer for a number of broadcasts for different French television stations. Since 1998 he has been responsible for several film advertisements for Canal+. Nebbou is now putting the last touches on his first feature film, Le Cou de la Giraffe, awarded the best screenplay in 2002 by the French Centre National de la Cinématographie. Together with writer and philosopher Frédéric Schifter, he is preparing a new screenplay for the feature L’homme incendié. Lepokoa is his fourth 35 mm short film, after Pédagogie (1997), La vie, c’est pas un pique-nique (1999) and Bertzea (2001).
