TODO LO CUBRE LA SAL

Fifty-seven is the number of net-makers working on the Basque Country's coastline, a traditional task the women still carry out as if time had stopped. They weave the nets with their salty hands. They form part of the sea and its mystery. A boat in distress breaks up the night, the beam from a lighthouse illuminates the scene, a seafarer has been sent off course by the thoughts of water, and hands dance and dance until they melt into the nets.

Bilbao, 1985. Estudia geología y danza contemporánea. Desde 2010 trabaja con la imagen incorporando estas disciplinas en sus proyectos audiovisuales. El vínculo con la geología es la semilla de su primer largometraje, ‘La Koreana, un poema ferromagnético de luz y memoria’. Este proyecto, en fase de desarrollo, ha sido seleccionado por el Centro de Residencias de Matadero junto con Cineteca, Noka Mentoring, Noka Ekoizpena y Dirdira Lab.
